Speech and language therapy provides treatment, support and care for children and adults who have difficulties with communication, or with eating, drinking and swallowing.
An assessment session will typically last between 30 minutes and an hour. Usually start by talking to you about your child's early history and development and gathering some information about your concerns.
Depending on the age of your child and the type of difficulty we will do a number of different tasks and activities.
Speech Language pathologists will improve child's ability to speak clearly. Speech-language pathologists can teach your child to use communication devices, if communication is difficult. Speech therapists may also address difficulties with muscles used in eating and swallowing.
