Pure Tone Audiometry:- Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) is one of the most basic tests to identify hearing threshold levels of an individual enabling determination of degree, type and configuration of hearing loss. PTA should be done in an environment where noise levels should be less than 32 dB as per the Standards. Ave Sound Clinic has most modern Sound treated room with free field facility to do the PTA test in a Computer guided environment.
The BOA test is particularly useful for estimating degree of hearing sensitivity in infants and is based on the behavioural responses.
Tympanometry helps to identify pathologies related to external ear and middle ear. An estimate of acoustic reflex threshold provides objective means of differentially diagnosing RCP and CP.
Immittance audiometry is comprised of tests such as tympanometry, Acoustic Reflexometry Eustachian tube function tests etc.,
Speech audiometry comprises of test such as speech reception threshold (SRT), speech discrimination score (SDS), speech detection threshold (SDT) etc.
